Overbraiding replaces a multi-step manual process with one fully automated operation. Instead of first buying or producing a braid and then manually shaping and applying it—with material losses and high operator time—the reinforcement is created directly onto the mandrel in a single step. Lead-in and lead-out waste is minimal, and repeatability is guaranteed through computer-controlled production.
