What is a biaxial braid?
Eurocarbon uses various materials, such as glass fiber, carbon fiber and aramid, to produce biaxial braids. The biaxial braid is commonly produced in a twill weave of two yarns at a 45° orientation, though it is also often produced with higher/lower degree angles. This type of braid is useful for various applications as it offers a different thickness, yield and orientation at each point when pulled over a mandrel with changing cross-sections. The biaxial braid forms a part of our standard program, which has been established to quickly meet the most common needs of our customers and to offer off-the-shelf solutions.

- The desired diameter measured at a 45° angle
- The desired fiber material or material combination for hybrid constructions
- The desired or aerial braid weight at a 45° angle
